05.13From Biarritz to Paris
It was time for the last stop on our French tour, Paris! Anne Marie picked us up from the airport, and as Laetitia and her caught up during the drive, I just enjoyed the sites; I kept checking out all the cool cars they won’t sell here in the US for some reason: Citroen, Renault, Pugeot, Opel, Fiat… and even different models of brands we do have, like BMW 1-series, Mercedes micro cars, etc., etc.
Since we got in early, we caught up with Pascal and the cousins and then Laetitia and I went for a long walk to the Basilique Sacré-Coeur…
Cousins Guillaume and Benjamin got sooooo big since the last time we saw them; they looked like poster boys for Abercrombie and Fitch
The following days there, we hit the major sites, took a boat cruise on the river Seine, and Laetitia even went to the top of the Eiffel Tower for me (she’s super afraid of heights, so I’m proud of her). Anne Marie and Pascal also took us to an antique district where Laetitia picked up some unique art for our living room: a 1920’s lithograph of a happy girl and a dog, surprise, surprise.
I had some unexplained shoulder pain, so we went to a pharmacy where they recommended these muscle relaxers… wow, those hit me hard. Laeitita had to guide me along the street until they had some time to get through my system. Between that, all the walking, and time away from Pumpkin, we were feeling ready to go home.
We got to see the youngest cousin, Sebastian, toward the end our trip… he really loved Pokemon and anime cartoons.
Pictures to be posted soon…
